Checking in

Well, it's been two and a half months since we got married, and I thought maybe it was time for an update. Plenty of things have changed in that time - the temperature is hitting 99 instead of a mild 70, the humidity is out in full force, my hydrangeas are in bloom, and the house is more organized. One thing I have noticed that hasn't changed is our relationship, for the most part. There are subtle changes, like the fact that we get to call each other husband and wife, and the fact that we are realizing that we come first to each other, instead of relying more on our own families. I do feel a lot more like Cory and I are really our own family.

Really, being married has so far been really fun, and nothing crazy! The wedding was a blast, and the honeymoon was relaxing and calm, as I hoped it would be. Really, I have thought here and there about picking the blog back up, but I'm not sure what to write about. I'd really like my blog to have a focus. I tend to have my hand in so many different projects, I'm wondering if anyone would have any interest in reading about them. Coming up in the future, I'll be making a wedding cake, and hopefully learning to use my sewing machine, as well as getting myself into a little gardening. Plus, I am always doing little things here or there. We'll see.

For now, I leave you with one of my favorite wedding pictures:

I would personally love it if you continued blogging...about whatever, really!

I know you do a lot of crafty projects and you're a fantastic cook, so those are two things you could write about that I know we'd all enjoy reading.

From a personal standpoint, I'd love to know more about your quest to start sewing, since that's a new hobby I've recently discovered. What kind of stuff are you interested in making? I'm working on doing my own clothes and handbags. We'll have to get together sometime and swap stories.
